“What’s in the brain is in the body and what’s in the body is in the brain” -- David Grand
Individual, Couples, and Group Therapy
What are your hopes and fears of therapy? Have you previously accessed talk therapy and found it ineffective or are you uncertain and hesitant about accessing therapeutic support for whatever reason? Let's chat about it during a free consultation. I want to hear what hasn't and what could work for you in therapy during a free consultation when you can gauge if my therapeutic support is a good fit for you.
I believe that we are relational beings that cultivate adaptive responses and characteristics through interactions with others and environments. Though we have the capacity to live in and embody the present, often, past experiences and patterns can keep parts of us stuck in our past, weighing on and shaping emotions, thoughts and responses. I view the therapeutic process as a way of opening up space for reviving your self energy, choice, and flexibility in the present.
I work with adult individuals, couples, and groups virtually. I am an integrative therapist, combining body, mind, and spiritual care into sessions. Trained in somatic therapy, neuroscience, mindfulness, IFS, brainspotting, and DBT, I offer a therapeutic approach that is responsive to what works for you as each person has particular experiences, relationships, and internal world. My therapeutic inquiry is compassionate, nonjudgmental and exploratory, believing that the therapeutic relationship can be reparative as much of our difficulties occur in relationship to others and ourselves.

You’ve tried to cope with distress on your own or by leaning on available others but you are finding it difficult to make sense of and manage emotions and thoughts. At times you feel overwhelmed by such inner experiences, interactions with others, or demanding situations, unsure what to do besides trying to avoid them, which only brings temporary relief. Dealing with difficulty has been challenging, confusing, and sometimes exhausting. You feel like this unhealed aspect is getting in the way of you functioning effectively in daily life, having the relationships you desire, and living the meaningful life you have envisioned for yourself.
I understand your inner strife, frustration, and feeling like a sense of yourself is lost. I believe that each of us has the ingredients within them to change, grow, and lead meaningful lives. I will assist you to revive, strengthen, and develop your inner capacity to make the changes that you seek and bring hope back into your life. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental, presence and training that is tailored to you to assist you to navigate difficult times effectively.
My approach to treatment is person-centered and integrative, combining mind, body, emotions, and spirit, in a way that fits you best. I will assist you to cultivate:
· An approach of exploration and curiosity about inner experiences, instead of being afraid of, worried about, and overwhelmed by them
· Learn about physiological bodily reactions you might be familiar with but don’t know how to manage or how they emerge
· Assist you to regulate emotions, identify your needs, and how they shape your interactions with others across situations
· Gain greater understanding of your thought patterns and how to quiet their intrusiveness, toward inner peace
· Enhance hope that lasting change through incremental adjustment is possible
